From Stage to Spotlight: Maine’s Got Talent Winner JoAnna Hughes Returns for a Special Performance 11th annual Maine’s Got Talent
This simple but powerful idea reflects so much of what we believe at Andwell Health Partners. The care we offer today, the connections we nurture, and the services we grow are all investments in a healthier, more supported future for Mainers. Here are just a few of the ways we’re flourishing to meet the growing needs across our communities.
With just days to go until the curtain rises on Maine’s Got Talent 2025, organizers are thrilled to announce that last year’s winner, JoAnna Hughes, will return to the Franco Center stage on Saturday, May 3, for a special guest performance.
Presented by Maine Community Bank and hosted by Andwell Health Partners, Maine’s Got Talent is a live music competition that features eight talented performers from across Maine, each vying for cash prizes and statewide recognition. This year’s show will once again take place at the Franco Center, 46 Cedar Street in Lewiston. A reception begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by the main event at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available now at mgt2025.eventbrite.com.
Hughes, whose soulful style and heartfelt vocals captured both the judges and the audience in 2024, credits her win with launching a new chapter in her musical journey. “Winning Maine’s Got Talent gave me the confidence to live what I love,” JoAnna said. “It inspired me to write original music, refine my piano skills, and perform with my band, The Ditch Lilies.”
Since her win, JoAnna and her band have played at RiverFest and numerous local venues, quickly building a fanbase throughout the state. This Saturday, she’ll return to the Maine’s Got Talent stage, not as a competitor, but as a celebrated alumna and guest performer.
“It’s incredibly meaningful to come back and perform at the event that changed my life,” JoAnna said. “I’m honored to share the stage again—this time to support new artists and celebrate Maine’s music community.”
Proceeds from the event benefit Andwell Health Partners’ pediatric programming, which serves over 650 children and families across the state with essential care and early intervention services.
This year’s featured performers include:
- Jen Schultz & Erin-Margaret Libby – Vocal duo from Norway
