Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice President and CEO, Ken Albert, has been elected by the membership of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice to serve a three-year term on its Board of Directors. Located in Washington D.C., the National Association is a nonprofit organization that represents the nation’s 33,000 home healthcare and hospice organizations. The Association also advocates for the more than two million health care professionals who provide in-home medical care to more than twelve million Americans each year. Along with its advocacy in all branches of government, the Association provides information to help its members maintain the highest quality of care.
The field of sixty-four nominees was reduced to twelve who made the ballot for only six positions. “The future of home care and hospice is filled with opportunities and a few challenges, and this new Board has the right mix of health care leaders to help the Association meet the future confidently,” said William Dombi, Esq., the Association’s President.
“I have focused my career as both an attorney and a registered nurse to improve the quality of life for Maine residents. I am thrilled to take this passion to the national scene,” said Albert of his election.
